Channing Tatum being an asshole to kittens will either fuel your distaste for Channing Tatum and/or kittens, or for movie marketing promotions.
Cute is a subjective word used for describing small, pleasing and non-threatening features, typically found on people, animals, objects and even ideas.
Like a true American hero, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spent his Labor Day weekend rescuing puppies. He posted this picture on his Instagram after diving head first into the pool after his two new baby dogs, Brutus and Hobbs, decided to go for a swim. Brutus, on the left, sank immediately but of course was saved in the nick of time leading The Rock to conclude his story with the following lessons:
A) Not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle. B) Some puppies (like BRUTUS) will be so in shock by experiencing water they will sink extremely fast so react quick. C) While spiriting to save your puppies life, before you dive in, try and throw your cel phone to safety. Don't keep it in your pocket... like I did.
Marvel's surprise hit Guardians of the Galaxy keeps on surprising over a year after it's release. The father of a young boy who suffers dyspraxia posted this on director, James Gunn's Facebook:
Hi James…This is in response to your recent post about Guardians being released a year ago and the effect it has had on my son. My son is four years old and has a condition known as dyspraxia, which not only interferes with motor skills but speech as well. When Guardians came out Sawyer could only say about three words and would communicate to his mother and I by other means. When he saw Groot, something clicked inside him and he connected with him on a level I haven’t seen. He began to mimic him and he would use the word “Bah” for a lot, but after he saw the film, he would change the tone in which he said it to convey a different meaning. He would also start saying Groot for many things as well. Since that, he was finally able to go to a speech class and it has helped amazingly. I just wanted to thank you though, for a script and movie that was written so well that a four year old, three at that time, could connect with someone who had the same language barrier.Everyone's favorite dancing tree is a real life changer. He's a plant of few words, but he makes those words count.
Seven year old Padawan Colin Gilpatrick wrote a letter to George Lucas after discovering that Jedi could not get married:
Lucasfilm responded with a grab bag of goodies and an a-okay for Colin to wed.
It's too cute, I can't handle it!
Colin's got a few good years to train in the force before setttling down, but it's nice to know he's got the official Lucasfilm blessing when the time comes.
Jordan is a little boy who is fighting some really big diseases and received a much-deserved pick-me-up when one of his favorite singers, Taylor Swift, visited him in his hospital room.
Swift stopped by Boston Children's Hospital with a song and a hug for little Jordan. The joy he has when the pop star begins to play is something that will warm any heart. Way to go, Taylor!
Not really though...the star from HBO's "Game of Thrones" had an opportunity to meet the adorably unhappy cat and decided to play along with his grouchy selfie companion.
UPDATE: We've learned this fantastically grumpy picture is a photoshopped fake. Either way, the resemblance is pretty uncanny. Well done, internets!
